Mr. Steven L. "Steve" Martinez is the Director of Operations at the Center for Joint & Strategic Logistics, Fort McNair, Washington DC. In this capacity, he helps lead efforts to shape logistics education and development to prepare Department of Defense logisticians to be proficient in applying logistics support across the national security enterprise.

Mr. Martinez was commissioned upon graduation from the United States Air Force Academy in May 1992 and served on active duty as a master Logistics Readiness Officer and a Foreign Area Officer with expertise in Japanese culture and language. Prior to his current position, he served in a wide array of logistics duties at the installation level, a Field Operating Agency, a Numbered Air Force, at Headquarters United States Air Force and The Joint Staff. He also commanded multiple units, to include a U.S. Air Force Academy Cadet Squadron, an Air Support Squadron, a Logistics Readiness Squadron, and an Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron in Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
