Joint Logistics Faculty Development Workshop Most Constructive Yet

Fort McNair DC — The Center for Joint & Strategic Logistics (CJSL) recently hosted the 2017 Joint Logistics Faculty Development Workshop (JLFDW) at the National Defense University, Ft. McNair, Washington DC. This 3-day event was attended by faculty members from Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Professional Military Education schools, Air Force Institute of Technology, Naval Postgraduate School, and Defense Acquisition University. In addition, several personnel from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, and Service logistics staffs, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and Service logistics training schools also participated.

Leaders Renew Commitment during Logistics Development Council

Washington DC, 30 December 2016 — Joint logistics leaders gathered recently for the quarterly Logistics Development Council (LDC) meeting. During this event, co-chaired by the Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics & Materiel Readiness (ASD L&MR) and the Joint Staff Director for Logistics (JS J4), senior representatives from the Services, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), U.S. Transportation Command, and the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School validated the Joint Logistics Learning Framework and renewed their commitment to its refinement in order to improve the development of future joint logisticians.
